Cactus Stools
The Cactus Stools were created in 2021, by Art in Uncommon Places. A group of women who are community volunteers were instrumental in the creation of these 6 stools.
The stool structure was designed using concrete poured into a round stool shape. Then mosaic tiled to reflect the horizon of a blue sky on top, a tan base, and cactus wrapping around the 18" diameter and 19' tall stools.
The Cactus Stools are a great addition to the Historic Mural of Elmer Kelton and the sheep painted by Karyn Kuniyuki. We placed 6 stools total in the beds by the parking lot on S. Chadbourne.
